1.      What is a vascular plant?
-          Vascular plants have systems of tubes for the transport of nutrients and water.
2.      What structures do all vascular plants share?
-          Vascular plants share the same structures by having roots, leaves and stems. These are just the basic similarities.
3.      What are the roots designed to do?
-          Roots are designed to pull water and minerals from whatever material the plant sits on.
4.      What are the two jobs of a stem?
-          The stem transports food and water to the plant and it acts as support structures to the plant.
5.      What is the job of the xylem vessels?
-          The xylem vessels job is to transport cells that circulates water and dissolved minerals.
6.      What does the phloem transport?
-          The phloem transports sugar and other molecules coming from the plant.
7.      Inside leaves are organelles (tiny organs) called chloroplasts. Inside chloroplast is a green substance called chlorophyll. What is the job of chlorophyll?
-          Chlorophyll can grab the sunlight and start the whole process of photosynthesis.
8.       In Photosynthesis, what molecules combine together to form what compounds?
-          Carbon dioxide and water combine with light to create oxygen and glucose.
